Dave Singh

Prof. Singh holds three doctorates including a Degree in Dental Surgery, a Ph.D. in Craniofacial Development, and a D.D.Sc. degree in Orthodontics. He undertook postdoctoral training in Canada under the supervision of Dr. Scott Lozanoff (University of Hawaii) and Dr Jim McNamara (University of Michigan). Previously, he was Dental Preclinical Dean, University of Bristol, England. Prof. Singh has a strong research track record reflected by numerous peer-reviewed publications and grants. As an Outstanding Professor and Researcher, Prof. Singh is a Consultant to the National Institutes of Health (NIH, USA) and Senior Instructor, International Association for Orthodontics.

His research interests are based on craniofacial growth and development, using geometric morphometric techniques, such as finite-element analysis, to model orthodontic, orthopedic and craniofacial treatments. He intends to maintain and develop his research themes with innovative research projects, using 3-D analytical software that he had developed for 3-D imaging techniques, which was awarded First Prize at the International Association for Orthodontics 2005, and is currently in use at the National Institutes of Health (USA). Prof. Singh is a Visiting Professor at Universiti Sains Malaysia.
